My favourite thing? Just one? Okay, well I love that my kids can be tevhselems, free from the expectation to fit into a mold or act a certain way. They can lie on the floor to write, read upside down, take breaks to dance or pet the cat. They can be tevhselems and explore what that means, daily.

I am new to home schooling and love it!! It afdofrs us the wonderful gift of time with our children (two little girls) while they are children ..only once as we all know.I like the slow pace .and the time to get to know each one of them and their personalities .much better than I was before. I feel that home schooling has also drawn us closer together as a family.

I think that the kindness article is great. My belief is that teaching kindness is one of a parent’s first jobs

We are constantly ineurrtpted with dentist/orthodontist appointments, yearly eye exams & physicals, holidays, illnesses, the needs of the childrens’ great-grandparents, field trips, and good weather (something to cherish in the Seattle area, LOL). I refuse to stress about missed days & such in Elementary and Junior High. High school, however, is a different ball of wax. My solution is to outline five and a half days of work each week in a format similar to a college syllabus. If the student does all the work, that’s fantastic. If not, no worries there are usually enough weeks where all the work has been accomplished to make up for missed mornings or even days. So far so good!

I love to beable to teach my dauthger what I want her to know not what others say she needs to know. We can use great books to learn from. I get to share in her days and learning..not miss out by her being at school all day.
