As a classical educator, you know that we have a love for teaching logic. Its importance is the basis for much of what we do. So when given the opportunity to try La La Logic, a logic Preschool Curriculum for the little ones, I thought it was something we would definitely be interested in.
La La Logic’s Preschool Curriculum is not only a fun site for kids to work on basic logic skills but fun to say! My son, 5, I think just liked doing it because he could say the name. It was pretty funny.
We were given a subscription to the La La Logic website and their Preschool Curriculum to use for our kids. The site states it is for ages 3-6; however, older kids may enjoy and benefit from the activities. Though we used it primarily with our 5 year old, our 10 year old used it a little as well.
The La La Logic program is designed for one lesson a week, one activity a day, 5 days a week. However, you could do it quicker, particularly with older children. The program includes 100 weeks of lessons and is set up with very easy to follow online instructions to be able to move through the lessons easily. We moved through the program at 3-5 days per week, one lesson per week as suggested.
Generally we did the Brain Challenge on Monday (the online portion of the program) then an Extension Activity on Wednesday (these are laid out in the lesson plan online) and a Worksheet on Thursday (this is also available online). Though this was the suggested order, it is not necessary to finish these activities in this order.
My son enjoyed the online portion as well as my daughter. My son worked in the typical order as suggested but my daughter, who is 10, worked through it in Continuous Brain Challenge Mode and started deeper into the program since it starts off very easy.
Brain Challenge Activities in the program included some fun games for kids. Some of these activities included finding patterns, solving puzzles, matching, counting and ordering. The Extension Activities included worksheets included activities such as cutting, gluing, answer questions and playing games.
You can print the weekly schedule and activities/worksheets. You can also view the schedule online. One of the great features of the La La Logic Preschool Curriculum is that the online portion is compatible with apple and android devices and it was easy to use on our Kindle tablets. There is a place to check off the activities when completed and even a place to type notes for the week if you have anything you wish to record about your student’s progress or use of the program.
My son really enjoy the La La Logic Preschool Curriculum. Though he was technically in Kindergarten this year, there were some great and challenge games and activities that were beneficial to him. He really loved his online time with La La Logic and looked forward to it. You can see how excited he got and how much fun he had after completing an exercise in La La Logic!
Overall the program is very simple to use and has a great variety of activities that keep the interest of your little one. The La La Logic Preschool Curriculum is colorful, fun, and easy to use. The time commitment to the program is short and easy to manage for the intended age group.
We really enjoyed it and will definitely keep using it with our little man. Additionally, since it is a lifetime membership, we will likely use it with our little one when she is of age.
