What is Smartick?
Smartick combines math, reading, logic, and reasons into a program that adapts to your child’s math abilities to form a program just for them.
The program, which is inclusive of AI tutoring for the student to develop the program to their needs not their grades or age. This allows your student to build confidence in math.
In just 15 minutes a day, Smartick says they will improve your student’s math skills. And with a 94% success rate, it can’t hurt to give it a try with your student.
Smartick is an interactive and engaging program that can be used on the computer or used through their interactive app. We used it on the computer and the iPad, which was great.
Since we used it for Kindergarten level math, our daughter was able to get started and use it but had most success on the iPad because of the touchscreen.
Smartick begins with an assessment to ensure the student is beginning where they should.
The lessons are easy and the student earns Ticks as they move through the program. The rewards come fairly quickly which is great because it keeps the student interested.
Additionally, there are games for the student to play that can provide additional support or just for fun. This is a good reward for completing the assignments. Some time in the Brain.
The Parent Dashboard
The parent dashboard allows you to see the progress of each of your students as well as see how often they have logged in and worked. The calendar is right there for you to see and then each student has their own dashboard for the parent to look at.
A great feature is that Smartick allows you to provide customized incentives to your student through the parent dashboard. For instance, you can send them a motivations message like “I’m proud of you, keep up the good work.” or “If you do your math 5 days in a row, we can go to the park” or whatever motivates your student. I love that level of customizing in Smartick.
Overall, we like Smartick. My daughter liked it and enjoyed earning the Tiks. She is motivated by moving progress bars and Smartick has that so that’s a good fit for her. Additionally, the bright colors and large math problems are great for her. I’m certainly glad they have the app now as well.
