I found this great recipe over at [Natural] Mommie yesterday and I made them immediately. It only took about 10 minutes to throw together and then they hit the fridge. We are always looking for good, all-natural snacks and, I have to say, they are a BIG HIT! They look a little crazy but don't let their looks fool you. Yum is the word! Can't wait to play with the recipe and make some with raisins and other dried fruits. We added flax seed and used pecans and chocolate chips in ours. We also ... read more

Year in Review – Our 2011
The year 2011 was a big one for our family. Though this maybe was a better post for January 1st, I figured it wasn't lost. Our family has been talking about the year and wondering what this year will bring. Homeschooling Statistics – How Do We Compare?

This year is our first grade year and our second year of homeschooling. We are loving it. We try to make it fun. I try to use lapbooking and crafts to go along with as many lessons as possible as this is good for Avarie and her learning style. Leyton, who is only 2, likes to participate. She enjoys the songs that we sing and the skip counting songs and like to color and do legos while we are learning. Though he sometimes thinks playing the piano during our learning time is a better option ... read more
