Classical Conversation has been a blessing to us. So I wanted to share 3 reasons we love Classical Conversations.
1- ALL WE NEED – Though it is a complete curriculum (Foundations requires Language Arts and English on your own however), you can use it as much or as little as you want and still get something out of it. The exposures to the subjects are broad and it is amazing to see the wide variety of topics, subjects, and facts that the kids learn so quickly.
2- ART AND SCIENCE – It covers art and science very thoroughly; two areas that I need a little help at home, as do many homeschool families. Each week the students do a science experiment complete with teamwork and fact-finding but Classical Conversation provides all the supplies as well as the decision on what a good experiment for the age group would be.
In addition, each week the kids learn about art and do an art project such as drawing an abstract or a shading exercise and they learn about the type of art, where it came from, see real examples and then try it themselves. This preparation alone for me would be significant so it is worth it. Especially since my kids are such art lovers. Again, all the art supplies are at Classical Conversations and all the cleanup is there too.
3- FRIENDS – The best part of Classical Conversations for my daughter is the friends she makes. Like many coops, having the chance to interact with other homeschooling kids is a plus. The kids love the friends they make and look forward to their Classical Conversations day. In fact, when there is a break, the kids actually are sad they don’t have school! And for me, I have a chance to socialize with other homeschooling moms and share ideas and make friends. Whether you have a big Classical Conversations group or a small one, you will make good friends and enjoy your CC days!
What are the reasons you love Classical Conversations? I would love to hear them.

I haven’t heard of Classical Conversations. We homeschooled for 11 yrs but the baby graduated 4 yrs. ago. I loved homeschooling and I wish you and your family the best in it.

Classical Conversations has been a blessing. 11 years of homeschooling, huh? How wonderful! Thanks for the wishes.

We love Classical Conversations! My very favorite thing about it is the community. At the Foundations/Essentials age, mom stays in class with one of her children. This means that every Friday, I am with a fantastic group of homeschooling women, who encourage me and pray for me when I need it. At the Challenge level, I am completely blown away by what is accomplished. This is a rigorous college-prep program, most importantly centered on Christ in every way.

Thanks for the comment. I agree. It’s so wonderful the families we have met and gotten to know. I just love the fellowship and support CC has brought to our family. As far as Challenge, we aren’t there yet but I look forward to that and know that I will be just as impressed with how it encourages my children to succeed. The program is just spectacular! Thanks for visiting!

We love that it supports our decision to homeschool classically (using the Trivium). I have three kids with three different learning styles and all three can find a way to memorize the material (song, reading/writing, movement). What a blessing!

So true. I knew that I wanted to classically homeschool and I’m so grateful we found CC to help us. And you are right, I have seen how each child can learn differently the same materials and how CC supports that overall. Even with providing different resources to reinforce different types of learning styles in the children in their books and online resources. Thanks for sharing!

I am also so pleased with CC! This is our family’s first year using CC and I just wish we had learned of it sooner. I am so pleased with this dedicated( to Christ foremost, family, and education) group. One day is perfect to get some interaction, take home the experience, where we can talk about, pray, and plan our approach to next week’s interaction. I am so thankful for the fact that I don’t have to do the lesson planning, I was having such a hard time with this on my own. I feel academically successful now with our homeschooling. The parents are there and closely supervise and guide their kids, not just getting together where the parents clump at one end and the kids go off to play. The standard to character they uphold, and they do uphold it, this is not just lip service. I love CC! It is worth every penny we invest! I pray for our group daily, that God would constantly be our focus and that we would always allow Him to guide us and propel us forward.

Thank you for the wonderful response. You are so right, the one day is perfect and the planned curriculum takes so much pressure off. Our group is such a blessing for the kids and the parents.

Hi! I saw in an earlier post regarding CC that you mentioned Fishers. As in Fishers, IN?
