February 2, 2012 is Groundhog Day and another chance for something fun to do at home. What do you and your family do? Do you watch it on television, talk about it, not worry about it?
If you are hoping to watch and see what Punxsutawney Phil you can choose to do it on television or online. Check out the live webcast and see whether we are in for a lengthy winter or an early spring.
Then decide what your plans are for talking about it at home. I have found some great dowloadable activities to use to go along with the story about the groundhog as well as studying a little about the groundhog thanks to the February Teachers Book Bag I purchase last month on CurrClick. But there are many freebies online as well.

I read an online newspaper report about it to the kids. They were upset. “We missed him?!” Somehow they thought we were supposed to actually see a groundhog today.
We got online to watch the live webcast and it locked up right before so we had to watch the video afterward. Mine has talked all day about how disappointed she was the we have longer winter because she “wanted Easter to come early.” LOL So we had to go through that it had to do with weather not days. It was kinda funny.
