In the spirit of finishing our Latin lapbook, and having a friend ask me about why we do them so often. I decided to write a post about lapbooks.
Then I found a great post at Heart of Wisdom talking about why lapbooking works that I thought I would share. Lapbooking has been great for us. We use them to have fun working through a subject as well as for review after we have finished. The crafty side corresponds with the learning. We discuss what we are doing while we are doing it, which is very fitting. We can do as much or as little as we want on the lapbook each day/week/whatever.

Do you lapbook? Why do you lapbook?

I can see how my younger rdclhien would really enjoy doing these from time to time but how did it challenge or interest the older one? Your oldest is a girl and mine being a boy I wonder if he would appreciate the activities? He is good with hands on activities but he is still a boy of 11.[] Reply:October 1st, 2009 at 11:48 pmMomStarr All of our rdclhien really enjoyed the lapbooking. Although I really thought that some of the older ones would find it tedious, I was proved wrong. I will say that I think the fact that my oldest are girls makes a difference, not sure how an 11 year old boy will feel. I suggest you try an eProduct, that way you can print out as many as you like and if is something that interests him then he can join in.[]
