The Presidential election is just around the corner. What are you doing to prepare for the election and how are you teaching your kids about it?
Here are some resources I have found. We plan to use several of them. You may find them useful.
Governor Mike Huckabee has a free gift to homeschoolers. Click here for a free Election Day: Choosing Our President DVD. This DVD will help your children understand the election process. We have ours and are looking forward to watching it. Stay tuned for a review.
A Journey Through Learning has some great lapbooks to study the election process. Click here to see some of these lapbooks including this month’s $5 downloads, Government and the Election Process for Grades 2-5 and Overview of the Government and Election Process for Grades 6-12. Both include study guides.

And don’t forget to participate in CurrClick’s 2012 Presidential Election and Presidential Election Sale. You can vote for your favorite candidate, vote why you chose your candidate and see who is winning in our homeschool community. Election results will be posted on CurrClick November 6th. We voted! Be sure to cast your vote in this fun, mock election to help your kids see how voting works and learn about the candidate. And don’t forget to take advantage of the CurrClick Presidentail Election sale to get some great curriculum items to help with your home teachings.
