This has been a fun week of hot weather and summer fun. We have been in the pool A LOT, gotten ready for the 4H fair, and started packing for our move this month. And my 4 year old son has been in RARE FORM 🙂
So for my Random 5 Friday post I’m going to tell you —
5 Random Things I Learned from my 4 Year Old This Week
1 – How to Get to Texas – This week my son said to me: “Mom, you know how to get to Texas.” I said “No, how.” He said: “Drive, stay in a hotel, drive, stay in a hotel, drive, stay in a hotel and then you are in Texas.” — well, put 🙂
2 – The Smallest Dinosaur – Compsognathus is the smallest dinosaur. Yes, he pronounces it correcting. I can’t even do THAT. He amazes me with his dinosaur knowledge. The name means “pretty jaw” in case you were curious. At least that is what he tells me 🙂
3 – Camouflage Boots Hide you the Grass – My son loves his camouflage boots. We recently purchased some camouflage rain boots from the store. He wears them EVERYWHERE. He told me today that he loves them because he can “hide in the grass.” He went and stood in the grass and said “See mom, you can’t see me. Well, at least you can’t see my feet.” – It was pretty funny!
4 – Playing in the rain is fun – My son loves playing the rain (in his camouflage rain boots) and he reminded me that it is fun and I should do it more often. So we played in the rain. Splashed in the puddles. And watched the clouds. It is fun to play in the rain.
5 – Adding M&Ms to anything makes it better –This week my son told me that M&Ms makes everything better. He asked to put them in his yogurt and his pancakes. I’m not a huge fan but…he was right, it did make them better. So if you are feeling like you need a little chocolate, add some M&Ms to something, you might be surprised.
