Well, after an exhaustive few weeks of finishing out my reviews for the TOS Review Crew for the 2015 year, I’m happy to say that the voting has completed and the TOS Review Crew Blue Ribbon award winners have been chosen.
So, if you are wondering which reviews were voted to be the best the TOS Review Crew looked at this year, you can see the results below. But first, let me tell you what my favorite review was and the ones each of my kids liked the best this year.
Though I was happy and blessed to review the products we received this year, there were a few I was very happy to have the opportunity to review or found that I loved even though I hadn’t considered them. Here were our votes for some of the favorites this year.
My sons favorite was LaLaLogic. He loved the product, thought it was fun, and is still enjoying using it weekly in our homeschool. And since I think developing critical thinking skills is important and I’m loving that he’s loving it!
My daughter’s favorite was USAopoly. She is a game players. Loves games. So she thought it was fun to have the opportunity to review the games and is still requesting we play them on game nights. Tapple is still her favorite game. My 6 year old is liking that one too.
My favorite curriculum review, the one that I didn’t know that I would love and probably will stick with in our curriculum, even though i was SURE we didn’t NEED it, was Phonetics Zoo from the Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW). Though I typically love IEW products, I didn’t think we needed a spelling curriculum, we were happy with how things were going in spelling, but I REALLY like the simplicity of this product without the need for a lot of extras and the fact that its so independent. I’m sold!
I have another one though – it’s really a tie for me. I LOVE Grapevine Studies. I have wanted to try them forever and the kids are loving our study of the Birth of Jesus. I will likely try another one next semester. This has been a great addition for us and one that we can do together, which is really important to me.
And, last but not least, my favorite parent product is Koru Naturals. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Koru Naturals products. As this was my second review of their products, and we have purchased products outside of the review from them since the first review, I’m here to tell you that their products are GREAT! I especially love the New Zealand Pure and Simple Lanolin Cream from my first review and the Emu Oil and Blue Tansy Oil Cream from this review. Great products!
So, here are the results of the TOS Review Crew in all categories. Hopefully this will help you in your choices for next year.
