As much as I hate to admit it, it’s time to think about holiday gifts!
We start out Thanksgiving festivities as a family this coming weekend and with that begins thoughts of our family Christmas exchange.
My husband has a large family so we exchange names for gift giving. Then begins the hunt for the best gifts. And my list is always growing. Even though I do some early Christmas shopping, I am still plagued with a full list as we approach Black Friday and all the flurry of Christmas shopping after Thanksgiving.
So, as I’m getting together my Christmas list, I thought I would share some ideas for kid gifts.
Babies and Toddlers
Battat Farm House – My little one loves playing with the farm at the church nursery. So I’m thinking one of her own might be in order.
Small World Toys Preschool – First Laptop B/O – Little ones see us on our laptops all the time. They love to pretend to be like mom and dad so a First Laptop is an excellent gift.
Fisher-Price Slim Doodle Pro, Blue – I love these doodle pads. They are great to take with us in the car or to sports practices and my kids love them.
Elementary Kids
Spirograph Deluxe Design Set – I love Spirograph when I was a kid. I think this is a great gift for the creative kids on your list.
Basic Fun Simon Game – My kids have taken to Simon, another fun one from when I was a kid (with an updated edge). This is a great game for playing alone or with friends and it great for hand eye coordination and memory.
Laugh-Out-Loud Jokes for Kids – My 10 year old loves telling jokes and checks out joke telling books from the library all the time. I think this will be a fun stocking stuffer.
Middle School Kiddos
Blokus Game – We love this as a family game and, though its workable for elementary ages, the strategy is good for upper elementary and middle school, even up to adult. I personally love the game. It’s my favorite family night game.
Snap Circuits Lights Electronics Discovery Kit – If you haven’t checked out Snap Circuits, you are missing out. And if you have, this Light’s version is really fun.
Miposaur – Something that a lot of pre-teen and teen boys like are robots and robotics. This is a fun dinosaur and responds to you and your hand motions. This can be fun for any boy or girl!
Next I’m going to put together a Science inspired list. I have a lot of science fans on my list. Hope you enjoy!
