Are you a Classical Conversations family? Even if you are not, you might LOVE these history and science resources for your homeschool. Â In the second half of our Classical Conversations school year we will be studying Physic in Science and from the Industrial Revolution to the Cold War in History. Â This means lot of questions from my son about the wars we will be talking about. You know… World War I, World War II, Vietnam, Korea, the Cold War. These will come up and I will need to be prepared for questions.
In Science, there will be lots about Physics and Newton’s Laws and I would like to be prepared there too. Mostly because it’s been a LONG time since I sat in my college Physics class sleeping, I mean, taking notes!
So here are some great books, some of which we will be giving for Christmas, to go along with our 2nd half of our Classical Conversations Cycle 2 year.
#1 – You Wouldn’t Want to Be a World War II Pilot!: Air Battles You Might Not Survive – There are actually several in this series of books by Ian Graham that would be appropriate for Cycle 2; however, I think this will be the most intriguing to my son.  He has an interest in pilots and the planes of WWII and he has liked these books in the past. These are great books for all ages, packed with interesting information about the time period, in this case, World War 2 and many of the air battles.
What other books are you considering for your Classical Conversations 2nd semester of Cycle 2 this year? I would love to hear about them.
