Are you getting out of bed later in the morning? Are you starting school a little later in your day? Are you kids moping around wishing there was sun?
Were you TOTALLY BUMMED about the groundhog?
I am guest posting over at The Old Schoolhouse Homeschool Review Crew blog this week all about 5 Ways to Renew and Refresh Your School Year. Come check it out.
Winter can be a difficult time to keep the motivation at home. So it’s a great time to choose some new topics to study, schedule some fun field trips, or try something new. With bad weather keeping us indoors (though, frankly, it has been mild here in the Midwest this winter so it hasn’t been as bad), we do have to be more deliberate about getting exercise and movement in our day. That’s why trying new things and school and then having some fun indoors is a great way to keep the winter blahs at bay.
You can read about Indoor Exercise for Kids and Field Trip ideas to get some ideas on how to fill some of that wintertime with new and exciting activities to enrich your homeschool and re-ignite some positive morale in your homeschool.
If you are anything like us, you are in the blah’s of February so this is a great time to try new things to refresh your homeschool and get some spirit back into the day. I know we need it. You might too. And, if you have some fun ways that you renew your homeschool in these dismal winter months, I would love to hear them! Share them in the comments and let’s help each other get some great ideas for giving our 2nd semester a kick in the pants!
