We received two products from Channie’s Visual Handwriting & Math workbooks. My oldest child has been using One Page A Day 2 Digit Multiplication practice while my youngest has been using Channie’s Dry Erase Flashcard for Sight Words. We have been having fun with these resources and couldn’t be happier to have the opportunity to review them.
What is Channie’s
Channie’s Visual Handwriting & Math workbooks offer a wide range of products that can help your students improve math as well as handwriting. The products are very colorful and easy to use. There is a likely a product that will help your student.
Chan, the mother of a struggling student Alex, decided that she needed to help her child with his handwriting. Her creativity and passion to help him improve is the inspiration behind Channie’s and the Channie’s Visual Handwriting & Math workbooks. The products have proven so successful that Channie’s was rated as 10th place in the category of most fabulous retail products by Education Dealer Magazine.
Math Practice
We received both the One Page A Day 2 Digit Multiplication and Channie’s Dry Erase Flashcard for Sight Words to review. The One Page A Day 2 Digit Multiplication is a great way to practice those math skills. My son used daily to work on his multiplication skills
Each page has several exercises and they are in block form so it naturally promotes ensuring that the numbers are kept in the correct column, which is critical as the multiplication becomes more advances.
The front of the book has a lovely reference guide to help your students remember the multiplication tables if they need it. It’s very colorful and helpful.
The pages are easy to use and don’t take too much time, making them easy to add to your schedule.
Sight Word Practice
The Channie’s Dry Erase Flashcard for Sight Words was great for my beginning reader. She had a good time use the cards to practice sight words and handwriting.
The cards are colorful and good quality. The student uses a dry erase marker to write the words in the blocks under the word. We used it to go along with the sight words we were studying, adding cards as we added sight words.
She would get out the cards that I designated to study and then read the word, write the word, and then show me and read them to me. It was a great way to practice. And she thought the dry erase was fun!
What We Thought
Overall, we enjoyed both products. I think they are a great resource to promote skills while emphasizing being neat and deliberate about writing the numbers of letters. I think I would have liked to have used this when we first started to write to promote better handwriting.
