What We Received
This time we received one of the newest products from CrossTimber — Your Amazing Name – Personalized Adventures for EVERY name! video!
This video is amazing. The video is custom made for your child (or whoever your gift is for). It features the origin and meaning of their name, as well as the child’s own artwork, which Amelia thought was pretty cool. This special gift arrives as a 28 minute long HD video that can be downloaded and viewed over and over. DVDs are available as well.
CrossTimber researches the chid’s name and then incorporates it into the video. You will see the name features in writing, on decorations in the houses, as well as in many other areas of the video. The child’s artwork is featured and used throughout, which, for Amelia was a little concerning at first because she wanted to know what they were doing to her beautiful artwork. But once we explained that it wasn’t the only copy, she was fine!
Throughout the animated video, the child’s name is mentioned. The characters talk to the child, asking questions and explaining things. Amelia was answering the questions and waving to the characters as they introduced themselves.
The child’s name will show up over 20 times in the video as the characters take the child on an adventure. The origin of your child’s name is explained, Bible verses explaining about naming and what God said about names in the Bible are explained, and the meaning is highlighted.
Parents can include a special letter for your child from the parent (or whoever has gifted this to the child) and the letter is read. The envelope is addressed to the child and the address is included to work on the child’s understanding of their address if you wish. You are given a choice whether you want the address in the video.
The video ends with a hand-picked, special Bible verse chosen for the child and then the credit, in which your child’s name and photo will appear. Amelia thought that was cool too!
Our 28-minute video was a hit and she was excited to learn that she could watch it again.
In addition to the video, we received a pdf file with some activities and extras that include the child’s name. These included writing practice in manuscript and cursive as well as a maze, word finds, and coloring pages. We even received a fun name tent.
Overall we really enjoyed the video. This would be an amazing personal and meaningful gift for a child in your life that they will cherish always. It is a fun way to give your child a personalized gift like no other.
