Welcome to our little piece of virtual real estate.
I am Tawnee. I am a homeschooling mom and I live in Indiana with my wonderful husband and our 4 children. Feeling called to homeschooling, I left the corporate world in 2009 to be home with our children and begin our homeschooling adventure. And what an adventure it is!
We are a Navy family. I have been in the Navy for over 20 years and my husband retired after 31 years of service. We love the US Navy and our great country but, at times, it has taken us away from our family, which makes our story a little adventuresome as well.
Our homeschooling is a mix of Classical and eclectic. We rarely follow one set curriculum or path but we try to expose our children to a variety of learning, all with a Christian base and an emphasis on the importance of service and family.
Homeschooling with a little ones in tow has its own challenges and we are always trying to incorporate new ways to bring everyone into the learning while allowing time for our older children their time to learn without interruption when necessary. This is not always easy.
I began blogging as a way to document what we are doing and share with my friends and families our adventures, what works and does not work for us, and some of the incredible resources we have found or developed along the way. We hope you find something that is of interest to you.
