August 5 through 12, 2012 is the celebration of the 2nd Annual National Exercise with your Child Week. Now, I heard this from several sources, looked all over the internet, and cannot, for the life of me, find anything indicating a sponsorship but….I think it’s a great idea so we are definitely going to celebrate!
In support of National Exercise with your Child Week, we have some great activities planned this week. In case you need some ideas, I have included our schedule for the week. We will be doing some other activities outside to keep exercising together as a family. We regularly walk after dinner, so that will continue as well – the dog appreciates that and she needs to exercise too!

Our Plan for the Week
So get out and workout with your children this week and start a great habit of physical fitness for your whole family.
Day 1: Bike ride to the park
Day 2: Hike the trails at the nature park
Day 3: Yoga at home
Day 4: Wii Dance
Day 5: Jump rope, hula hoop, hopscotch games
Extra: Playground circuits (if you have never tried playground circuits, look for a future post, I hope to video this, the kids love it!)
