This week is week 5 for Classical Conversations and we are certainly getting into the swing of things – I think!! As my first year as a tutor, I have found that preparing takes a little more than I had thought but it makes learning the materials at home a little more fun, which is nice!
This week we are studying group of invertebrates. That has been our focus this week in our home studies. This is our first look at invertebrates. First, we used our Classical Arts and Facts Science cards to discuss invertebrates in the most basic form. We love these cards.
Then we watched a fun video on You Tube about Invertebrates. Check it out here.
I printed out the Invertebrates Wheel from Enchanted Learning and we put that together to include in our Science notebook. Then we looked at some additional websites and pictures of invertebrates on the National Geographic website.
If you are looking to expand your learning on vertebrates and invertebrates, you might want to check out A Journey Through Learning’s The Kingdom Animalia: Vertebrates and Invertebrates.
Here’s some more websites for additional information on Invertebrates.
Do you have any fun ways to study invertebrates?
